Accountability = being responsible to people whom you represent, doing what the majority of them want and reporting back to them.

Voluntary organisations = organisations run by unpaid management committees with paid staff and fairly large annual income

Feedback =telling people you work with what is happening

Floor targets = the minimum outputs for a project

Stakeholders = individuals, groups or organisations with an interest (stake) in what happens with a project, programme or development.

Social exclusion = a shorthand label for what can happen when individuals or areas suffer from a combination of linked problems such as unemployment, poor skills, low incomes, poor housing, high crime environments, bad health and family breakdown. It can also have a wider meaning which encompasses the exclusion of people from the normal exchanges, practices and rights of society.
